Gerda Steyn – 2019 Comrades Marathon winner

“AfriSki has been my preferred high altitude training destination since 2018 and spending time in the High Maluti mountains is now an integral part of my race day preparation as an athlete. AfriSki offers everything I need to be in peak shape for road running with spectacular views, comfortable accommodation, delicious food and much more. Based at an altitude of over 3000m above sea level, it is the ideal spot for training camps, especially during the summer months. Road running as well as trail running / hiking option are available and I would recommend staying here for anyone looking to improve their fitness, or simply unwind and appreciate nature!!

“Altitude training has really changed my game. I have been training at Afriski on a number of occasions for 7 to 10 days at a time and have certainly benefited from the result. I have found the more I do it, the better I become at racing at altitude. Can’t wait to stamp my passport again for the Mountain kingdom!”
