If you love taking your time to explore the mountains, then come and discover hiking in the Maluti Mountains. No sounds but birdsong on the breeze, and no-one else for miles around. It’s the perfect setting to prepare for a hike up Kili (we’re exactly half the altitude of Mount Kilimanjaro) or for testing your equipment before an expedition.
Grab a packed lunch from the Sky Restaurant and choose from our five recommended trails, including a 2.5-hour waterfall hike along the Motete River and a full-day, 19km hike in the mountains surrounding Afriski. We also offer shorter but equally enjoyable guided and self-guided trails around the resort.
Conditions in the mountains can change without warning, so please come prepared for all weathers. Remember to sign in and out in our hiking register book at Reception, and never hike alone.
